Eastsound
Washington is "downtown" Orcas Island.
Orcas Island has long been a favorite destination for vacation
seekers. Orcas Island is the largest of Washington's San Juan
Islands.
The largest community on Orcas Island is the centrally located
Historic Eastsound Washington.
Eastsound Washington offers a little bit of everything, exceptional
gift shops, antique stores, art galleries, a historical museum,
post office, pharmacy, Orcas Island chamber of commerce, movie
theatre, and video rental stores. There is internet services
and cafe's, several restaurants - fine dining, hotels, bed
and breakfasts, vacation rentals, real estate offices, churches,
community parks, natural food stores and an airport.
There are Cultural events, plays and recitals regularly held
at the Orcas Community Center just outside of Eastsound. The
district operates a high school, middle school and elementary
school.
Eastsound is centrally located between the Orcas Island ferry
terminal and Obstruction Pass State Park near Olga.
