Sunriver
is located in Central Oregon, two miles west of Highway 97
and 15 miles south of Bend.
It is bordered by the Deschutes River and is surrounded by
National Forest Land. Sunriver is a planned community consisting
of interrelated villages containing single and multi-family
residential, resort, commercial and industrial properties.
Since the community is unincorporated, Deschutes County Planning
Division handles all zoning issues. The Sunriver Owners Association
oversees all development within Sunriver's planned community
except for the privately owned Business Park. Sunriver maintains
its own fire and police services on site.
